Is "Just War" Just Enough?
Modern warfare is predicated upon the doctrines of Just War Theory. While the legal guidelines create a great template to ensure warfare and justice walk hand-in-hand, the truth is that they are often quite divorced of one another. Using narrative and tradition as a template, we will examine war as a biblical concept, and look at the role of chaplaincy in the face of battle. May we all find peace in our Shabbat day.
