All Day

DC Minyan is heading to camp! We invite you to share the Shavuot holiday weekend with friends, family, and the DC Minyan community. The 2016 Shavuot Retreat will take place from Tuesday afternoon, May 30th through Thursday night, June 1st at Capital Camps & Retreat Center in beautiful Waynesboro, PA.

We are honored to have Rabbi Avi Killip as this year’s Scholar in Residence. Avi serves as VP of Strategy and Programs and Director of Project Zug at Mechon Hadar. She was ordained from Hebrew College's pluralistic Rabbinical School in Boston. Avi is a Wexner Graduate Fellow and holds a Bachelors and Masters from Brandeis University in Jewish Studies and Women & Gender Studies. She has worked as a teacher and Jewish professional in two synagogues, an independent minyan, a mikveh, and a yeshiva.

For the third straight year, Book Club is coming to the Shavuot retreat!  This year, we will be reading A Horse Walks Into A Bar by David Grossman. To learn more about the book and author, check out this review from NPR.

RETREAT PRICING

During the registration process, you will have the option to rank your preferred housing. To keep things as streamlined as possible, housing options are grouped into one of two tiers based on the similarities of the accommodations.

Registration and housing requests for DC Minyan Members will continue to be a priority, with housing assigned first to all DC Minyan Members, and then, as space allows, to associate members, non-members, and guests.

AFTER YOUR REGISTRATION, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED BY THE SHAVUOT RETREAT COORDINATORS TO PAY YOUR REGISTRATION FEES FOR THE RETREAT.
