Registration for Tisha B'av (July 17-18, 2021)

Priority registration has closed, but registration will remain open on a rolling basis as long as there is space. You may only attend if we confirm your registration.

What to Expect

  • Davening will be in an outdoor location near Dupont Circle. We will provide the address when confirming your registration. You may only attend if we confirm your registration.
  • Under our revised protocols, we can accommodate substantially more people. However, if there are more registrants than spaces available, we will prioritize DC Minyan members, people saying Kaddish, celebrating lifecycle events, and/or those we were unable to accommodate recently. (Please indicate that in the notes below.) We will do our best to accommodate everyone who registers but cannot guarantee there will be space for everyone.
  • Adults and children of all ages may attend as long as children remain under the supervision of a parent/trusted adult, and all persons comply with the rules of the location hosting us and follow the direction of DC Minyan leadership.
  • We have a small number of Koren Sacks siddurim onsite but please bring your own siddur (and chumash) if you can.
  • All attendees are required to comply with the updated COVID-19 protocols listed below.

The following revised COVID-19 Protocols are currently in place to protect our community and others:
  • Singing. Congregational is now allowed! (We, however, discourage non-fully vaccinated adults from singing audibly.)
  • Distancing. Vaccinated people can be seated in a non-distanced fashion. Non-vaccinated people (including kids) should be distanced at least three feet from non-family/household members. Please respect people who may choose to distance themselves further, and don't encroach on their space.
  • Masks. Face masks are required for non-fully vaccinated people during davening or when in large groups together, including children above age 2. Masks are optional for others.
  • Any person feeling sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 cannot attend. Anyone who knows they have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the previous 14 days may not attend.
